Description
(I was confused whether to put this under traditional or digital as the lineart is traditional bot the shading is digital)
This is for everyone who wondered if I could do a totally b/w work. Still a WIP but I hope I will finish it soon (and sorry for all the WIPs I am posting recently) I tried screentoning but I failed epically so I am experimenting a mix of screentoning techniques and hard digital airbrush painting. Lets see what will happen
(tl;dr this work is totally, highly and crazily experimental)
For anyone who is wondering, she is a character from the brazilian comics that made my childhood (and the childhood of nearly every brazilian), Turma da Mônica. She is one of my fav characters, Marina, the artist. I wanted to represent her as she appears on the manga while making a painting
From Wikipedia: ’’One of the few characters whose English and Portuguese names are equal. She was based on one of Mauricio daughters, also called Marina. Both Marinas are addicted to painting and drawing.’’
