Description

A gift to my mom. She wanted a painting of food so we could hang on our kitchen, and I did this. :meow:
Following the line of 'realistic' works I have been doing (with for example), I wanted to do a still life. This is my first time doing them^^; I always thought these were boring but this turned out being more fun to do than I had the right to expect.

I hope you like it! Thanks for looking:blowkiss:

Everytime I see this picture...I laugh. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="LOL"/>

It's splendid technique (as always) and it's best in the coloring! I love the textures too. That's one of the things of this picture that impresses me the most.

First, the wall looks like it's fraying, and you've done it splendidly. I feel like I can peel the paper off. Second, the innards of the peppers are so...Slimy looking. In a good way. The wood is also quite detailed, and I can't believe how well you added the circles and all of that! And last of all, the peppers are very nice and shiny. Add to it, they are also oblong, and they have variety in their shape.

I also like how you stacked up the peppers in here. I think they're trying to escape the kitchen. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/n/n…" width="19" height="19" alt=":ninja:" title="Ninja"/>

The way you did the colors is another thing. You only used four colors, basically: yellow, green, red, and brown. But you made it still seem colorful! It doesn't seem to be lacking in any color at all.

The table is tapering weirdly, however. I mean, it's getting smaller to the left (our left). I think the line was born crooked. And while we're on the table...The dents in the wood that start in the left seem to disappear when it goes past the red pepper in fron of the basket. Also, the pepper that's yellow to our utmost left...I think it looks too rounded near the top. These peppers usually have a bit of puckering up in that area, no matter what. Near where the yellow pepper is making its escape route, right underneath it, the black seems a bit scribbled; I can kind of see individual strokes in it. The black haze above that pepper looks like you're purposely trying to emphasize it.

In short, it's a very textured piece, and has nice colors. And also, I'd watch the yellow guy. :c. He's running.
