Anthropocentrism

''The human being as the center of everything.''

This is a lineart for 's Lineart Themed Contest - Hair; and as always, I am submitting my entry on the last second.lol

Anyway, on this work I wanted to play a bit with concepts; the ones I used was the relation theocentrism/anthropocentrism, which I related to the geocentric/heliocentric scientific model (blame my History classes for the ideas). The idea is representing the human being as they often think they are, the center of the universe so all the eight planets (Sorry guys, didn't include Pluto) and the sun spinning around the woman. But the hair, being often one of the most sensitive parts and weak point on humans, also represents our fragility and how we, in the end, can't overcome Nature.

Yeah, I have a fertile imagination. Must be the lack of sleep

Sorry for all the anatomic errors on the face and such, still practicing sideviews x_X and I had little time to finish this. I started yesterday. :c But I still like how it came out. c:

Time spent: Around 8 hours.
Done with Mechanical pencil, HB and 0.05 Mitsubishi Pigment Ink on A3 Canson paper and cleaned on Photoshop CS2.
