Description
This is a book I made out of about 40 A4 watercolor paper pages cut in half. The cover is made out of a paperboard piece and the cover is a Canson Mi-Teintes Aurore paper. All pages are manually sewn to each other with seam line, and the details are made with various scrapbooking punches, paper flowers and strass, plus glitter glue, oil silver Sakura marker and silver star paillette. It is also covered with a transparent plastic protection for A5 notebooks.
In my recent forum post, while talking to someone I realized I had to practice more my watercolor skills and work more on specific things such as lighting and skills to paint without guiding lines, so I thought I could as well build a watercolor sketchbook. I always wanted to try sewing a book
It took a goddamn ammount of time to finish it and be satisfied with the result, specially with being able to sew in a way the pages wouldn't fall, and yet wouldn't tighten so much I couldn't turn them. I'm a failure as a seamstress, so that was really hard for me specially since it takes a lot of effort to be able to sew so many pages altogether. I feel so proud of myself
I hope you like my humble little book. Thanks for looking.
